The Finnmark company GSG AS has developed a separate system for the use of virtual technology (VR) that saves customers huge sums of money. Savings in both time, actual costs and reduced environmental impact are significant, and there are also improved HSE and many practical benefits from the use of technology.
- Imagine that you have steel control over everything from the first drawing to the completed, tested and documented project. Is it possible, you might ask. Yes, we can do that with our VR system, says general manager and founder, Roger Erlandsen at GSG AS.

“Nothing ventured, nothing gained”
GSG AS was established in 2014 and mainly engaged in various assignments within metalwork. Managing director and founder, Roger Erlandsen, saw a need in the market within plastics, plastic welding and the development of various products within sheet and pipe work. The company then changed its main activity and has since offered services in this area.
- From the very beginning in 2014, we have been a supplier to the aquaculture industry, and our technicians have through this built up solid and broad experience in the plastics field, says Roger Erlandsen.
The company was started in Lakselv, in Porsanger municipality, but in 2020 they moved location and are now based in Kunes, in Lebesby municipality. A small village with few permanent residents, but close to aquaculture. The company has retained an office department in a former bank premises in Lakselv.
- Since the start, the company has grown steadily and we currently have 14 permanent employees and are constantly working on development and a desire to grow further. In periods where there is a need for increased manpower, we have highly skilled crew who step in, says Erlandsen.
