GSG – TENK NYTT! TENK ANDERLEDES! SKAP UTVIKLING - «Går det, så går det»
GSG was established in 2014 initially focusing on various metalwork projects. The company started with one, and eventually two, employees. Our managing director and founder, Roger Erlandsen, identified a market need in plastic, plastic welding, and the development of various plate and pipework products.
Consequently, in 2018, the company shifted its primary focus 2018 to these areas. From the very beginning in 2014, we have been a supplier to the aquaculture industry, and our technicians have gained extensive and solid experience in the field of plastics.
The Development:
In 2019 the company expanded its operations to offer industrial cleaning services, including washing and disinfecting aquaculture tanks and other installations at aquaculture facilities. This expansion has also placed the company on the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority's register of approved cleaning companies.
Moving forward 2019 and into 2020 the company decided to invest more in technology. Initially, we ventured into 3D printing and CNC machining, purchasing four 3D printers that enabled us to mass-produce parts. Additionally, we acquired an industrial printer, Factory 2.0, capable of printing workpieces up to 500x500x500 mm. To complement To complement our 3D printing efforts, we invested in a handheld 3D scanner. For CNC machining, we chose to invest in portable equipment that not only allows us to deliver and produce plastic parts with high precision securely and efficiently but also provides the capability to perform tasks on-site.
The company started in Lakselv, in the Porsanger municipality, but in 2020 we relocated to Kunes, in the Lebesby municipality, a small village with few residents but close to the aquaculture industry. We have retained our office in Lakselv, so it is still possible to visit us there as well.
In 2020 , the company invested again in new equipment to complement our technological ventures, this time a Trimble X7 3D scanner. This investment laid the foundation for our efforts in VR planning and 3D project planning.
In 2021 and 2022 the company allocated significant resources to leverage the opportunities offered by 3D scanning combined with VR technology for project planning. This initiative has elevated both the company’s and our clients’ capabilities to new heights. We are confident that by utilizing this technology, we are already adopting the methods of tomorrow.
Moving forward 2021 , we began constructing our production facility in Kunes. This construction took place from autumn 2021 to summer 2022. representing a major and crucial investment to provide the company and our employees with the necessary framework to ensure efficient and solid operations.
As the building neared completion, we purchased a 4-axis CNC mill, which replaced our smaller machines and played a significant role in streamlining our production line. The company also acquired a shredder, enabling the recycling of our plastic waste.
2022 was also the year we expanded our service offerings to include fish vaccination, meaning our employees are trained and certified to operate vaccination machines used for vaccinating fish at hatcheries.
In 2023 GSG co-founded a company located in Hammerfest. AM North AS is owned by three companies, with GSG being one of the owners. This company represents a major investment in 3D printing and CNC machining, allowing us to offer metalworking services through this venture. Our vision to become the market leader in 3D printing in the north has culminated in the formation of this company. AM North AS has also enabled GSG to expand its customer base and target the oil and gas industry.
Moving forward 2023 and 2024 ,the company is focusing on further investments in technology, digital project planning, and sustainable solutions. As previously mentioned, we are confident that this is the future. During a presentation of the company in early 2019 , the question was asked about how far we envisioned GSG could go. The answer then was "the sky is the limit," and so far, it seems to be true.
10th Anniversary:
In 2024 ,the company celebrates its 10th anniversary, and GSG has become a trademark in its field. We can proudly say,
“Yes, it worked out”
The Future:
What we currently know about the future is that much lies in our ongoing efforts to perfect and fully integrate VR project planning. Our leader and founder, Roger Erlandsen, is a vital resource for the company's future development, with a keen eye for wise investments and strategic areas. Follow us on our journey; we believe the future will be just as exciting.
